The social network is a storm that’s just getting bigger every day. Everyone with a connection can enter this free media and share their photos, videos and don’t refrain from sharing even their most private information.
There are a lot of people on these networks who, in real life don’t have many real life friends but add numerous people to their lists to fluff them up for bragging rights, this is prevalent especially among the youth.
In the 90’s, we were first amazed by the existence of the internet, then we went about finding out ways to utilize it. But at this point many people lost control and immersed themselves in the virtual world.
The Internet is the most important invention of our age, but unfortunately we haven’t refrained from abusing it. Instead of using it to research important scientific and cultural phenomena or to access information on the arts or anything that’s beneficial to society, we have started to use it in any which way we can imagine.
Relationships aren’t what they used to be, people who live in villages of a few hundred people have more friends than those in the cities, who have access to millions of people to befriend but instead buy themselves a computer and TV and hole up in their homes. Many people prefer the virtual world to socialize and try to find friends and partners in this environment. People are becoming more and more distant to their neighbors but are finding friends across the globe.
Then there are those who go overboard with the whole socializing thing, sharing the most private, intimate details of their day and sharing private photos with the masses. And then there are others who forget about their lives in the real world and practically move in to the virtual one.
Social networks are a place where we can share things with friends and family in an appropriate manner or go completely out of control and use it as a place to just get attention. Anyone can get an account, but not everyone knows how to use it.
